a humorous tale

if you were expecting to hear a humorous tale, sorry to disappoint because this is a solicitation for one, or a few, or many. i don't want a job, yet a want a job because i am an indebted graduate. i need to find something greater than myself to devote my energy and efforts to and i don't think i'll immediately find it with a desk job or graduate school--at least not at this point in my life. instead, i would like to go on a journey seeking a stories that will evoke laughter and tears.

so begins my random blog post of 2009. 

it's too late to document the details of my trial and travails on the big island and beyond, but to offer a summation and refkection of the past five months: people are incessantly incredible. i spend my days trying to unravel the mysteries of tropical butterflies and the invisible hand of evolution, yet the greatest mystery is the creativity of the human mind, the resilience of the human spirit, and the tenderness of the human heart. and the loveliest part is that we bleed.
